About Us

    A trip to the Colombian Andes mountains inspired us to bring the most amazing coffee experience home to roast. The results were impressive and we wanted to share this experience with others. Coffee beans or "cherries", are hand picked in Colombia. The farm hands traverse the extremely steep and challenging landscape to ensure that only ripe beans are picked. Why by hand?

    Industrial machines cannot properly detect the visual appearance and plumpness of a ripe coffee bean. This tradition along with the mountain spring water being used to wash these amazing beans, makes Colombian coffee some of the best in the world! This is why we've made Colombian coffee beans our "flagship" beans. We also explore other global regions that offer organic and fair trade coffee beans of the highest quality. Our obsession with delicious coffee is the prime force behind our brand.

 

    Keeping our products and operations local was key to maintaining our goal of sharing with community. Mastering artisanal coffee selection and roasting required us to hone our skills, and so we engaged a master roaster in Colombia to deep dive into the granular details of this art. We educated ourselves at the DDC company, awarded as champions for roasting and cupping in Germany and Switzerland.  With our new found knowledge we delved into exploring varying methods and means of roasting our beans.
